Language Arts

Our New Sight Words for last week were: ate, eight, drink, together, laugh, better.

This week's Sight words: first, then, next, finally, January

Each week, students use their sight words in different center activities. We have a center using baking trays and magnetic letters to practice spelling their words.

They have other word work activities and they practice spelling their words. One activity is finiding the consonant and vowels in their weekly words.

 

We have started branstorming ideas for our Procedural Writing, using our sight words, first, then, next, and finally.  We are also working on building paragraphs.

Math

Our focus right now in Math is Geometry. We are working on indentifying angles as right angles and also learning about different sorting rules.  

We will be starting Patterning in the next few weeks, taking us into February.
